ACCOUNTANT/ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

Employment Type: Full-Time (Part-Time considered for the right candidate)

We are seeking a motivated and detail orientated Accountant or Assistant Accountant to join our team in rural South Australia. We are a public accounting practice servicing a broad range of industries including primary production, business services, road transport, manufacturing and retail.

 

Our goal is to partner with our clients by delivering trusted accounting, taxation and business advisory services to assist and support them in achieving their goals.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional or someone looking to commence or develop their career in a supportive team environment.

 

About the role

Depending on your experience and qualifications your responsibilities may include:

·        Preparation of financial statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Individuals

·        Preparation of income tax returns and tax compliance work

·        Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS

·        Assisting clients with bookkeeping and accounting software

·        Supporting senior accountants and directors to ensure the intended client outcomes are being achieved

 

What we are looking for

Accountant

·        Previous experience in Australian public practice accounting

·        Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards

·        Experience in agriculture, regional business or small to medium enterprises

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Ability to manage multiple deadlines

·        Degree, CPA or CA qualifications will be viewed favourably

·        Experience with Xero software will be advantageous

 

Assistant Accountant

·        Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

·        Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office

·        Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar software is an advantage

·        Experience in bookkeeping or accounting is desirable but not essential

·        Students or recent graduates in Accounting, Business or Commerce programs are encouraged to apply
